Hello everyone! In order to accomplish the things we wanted to with the server, we had to get a few mods to help us out. As of right now there are only two and I promise they are by far worth it.
Here are our requirements:
The reason we needs CustomNPCs is to provide the NPCs, mobs, and quests in the server. Without it, the server would be pretty boring. The reason Carpenter's Blocks is needed is it let us expand our building potential greatly. It let us create environments that don't look blocky and look a little more smooth and like a game that isn't Minecraft. We know some people do not like to have to install mods in order to play on a server, but we promise it is worth it!
We also recommend using the Faerie Light resource pack. We recommend the 256x256 version, but the 128x128 looks really nice, too. The 128x128 version is pretty light weight, and even more so coupled with Optifine. We built the entire map with this resource pack, so it might look a little funny if you use another one. We tried to set it up where the server would ask you if you wanted to download the resource pack so you wouldn't have to go find it yourself, but unfortunately it was far too big to set up that way. However we hope providing the link for you here helps out!
We look forward to showing you all the server soon!
Here are our requirements:
- Minecraft version 1.7.2
- Forge 1.7.2 (We recommend 1033!)
- CustomNPCs Mod for 1.7.2
- Carpenter's Blocks Mod for 1.7.2 (You must get the 3.0.2 version! They have a link to their older versions.)
